A bill to amend 1978 PA 485, entitled
"An act to permit the creation of a county officers compensation
commission; to prescribe the powers and duties of the commission
and other public officers; and to prescribe penalties and provide
remedies,"
by amending section 3 (MCL 45.473).
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
Sec.
3. (1) The Subject
to subsection (2), the county officers
compensation commission shall determine the compensation of the
elected
officials of the county, other than judges. , which The

unless the county board of commissioners rejects the determination
by resolution adopted by 2/3 of the members elected to and serving
on

county.
(2) A county officers compensation commission shall not
determine a compensation for a county commissioner that is greater
than 25% of the base salary of a state legislator when the
determination is made.
