A bill to amend 1939 PA 280, entitled

"The social welfare act,"

(MCL 400.1 to 400.119b) by adding section 55b.

the people of the state of michigan enact:

Sec. 55b. When determining financial eligibility for family independence program assistance, the department shall exclude from a program group's income determination wages paid by the United States Census Bureau for temporary employment related to census activities.
