“Father in Heaven we thank You for this
beautiful day that You have made. I pray that we would rejoice and be glad in
it. We thank You again for the opportunities that You have bestowed upon us to
come into this chamber and to serve the people of the state of Michigan.
I would pray that You would continue to
bless the President, the Governor and this legislative body as we deliberate about the
right direction and actions and decisions that we need to make for this state.
I pray Lord, that You would give us
wisdom and discernment.
I pray that all things that are said
and done would bring You honor and glory.
We pray all these things in the name of
Your son, Jesus Christ, Amen.”
