CONTENT

 

The bill would amend Public Act 312 of 1969, which governs compulsory arbitration of labor disputes in police and fire departments, to modify the definition of "public police or fire department employee" to include a corrections officer employed by a county sheriff in a county jail, work camp, or other facility maintained by a county and that houses adult prisoners.

 

The bill would take effect 90 days after its enactment.
