ENROLLED HOUSE BILL No. 6215

AN ACT to amend 2020 PA 236, entitled “An act to provide minimum requirements for tort claims alleging exposure to COVID-19; establishing liability standards for claims alleging exposure to COVID-19; and precluding liability if conduct complies with regulations or orders,” by amending section 10 (MCL 691.1460); and to repeal acts and parts of acts.

The People of the State of Michigan enact:

Sec. 10. (1) This act applies retroactively to any claim or cause of action that accrues after March 1, 2020.

(2) This act does not apply to a claim or cause of action that accrues after July 1, 2022.

 

Enacting section 1. The COVID-19 response and reopening liability assurance act, 2020 PA 236, MCL 691.1451 to 691.1460, is repealed effective July 1, 2023.

 

Enacting section 2. This amendatory act does not take effect unless all of the following bills of the 101st Legislature are enacted into law:

(a) House Bill No. 5244.

(b) House Bill No. 6128.
