Barrier Free Design Board

Mr. Alex Blehm of 1077 Maryland Street, Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan 48230, county of Wayne, succeeding Jamal Al whose term has expired, is appointed to represent the construction industry, for a term commencing February 21, 2023 and expiring October 31, 2025.

Mr. Sean Haskin of 1146 Meech Road, Williamston, Michigan 48895, county of Ingham, succeeding Frank Bayer whose term has expired, is appointed to represent building inspectors, for a term commencing February 21, 2023 and expiring October 31, 2025.

Ms. Erin Shannon of 2618 Mansfield Drive, East Lansing, Michigan 48823, county of Ingham, succeeding Mary Franklin whose term has expired, is appointed to represent mobility limited individuals, for a term commencing February 21, 2023 and expiring October 31, 2025.

Ms. Denise Ilitch of 23675 Woodlynne Drive, Bingham Farms, Michigan 48025, county of Oakland, succeeding James Nicholson whose term has expired, is appointed to represent institutional investment or extensive financial experience, for a term commencing February 21, 2023 and expiring November 26, 2025.

Mr. Reginald G. Sanders of 6341 McGillicuddy Lane, Portage, Michigan 49024, county of Kalamazoo, is reappointed to represent institutional investment or extensive financial experience, for a term commencing February 21, 2023 and expiring November 26, 2026.

Mr. Glenn R. Stevens Jr. of 123 W. Hudson Avenue, Unit 2, Royal Oak, Michigan 48067, county of Oakland, succeeding Charles Burns whose term has expired, is appointed to represent an individual with experience in travel, tourism and recreation industry or an associated field, for a term commencing February 21, 2023 and expiring August 20, 2026.

Mr. Frank Tecumseh of 157 Jacaranda Drive, Battle Creek, Michigan 49015, county of Calhoun, succeeding John Madigan whose term has expired, is appointed for a term commencing February 21, 2023 and expiring August 20, 2026.

Senate Bill No. 93, entitled

A bill to amend 1931 PA 328, entitled  “The Michigan penal code,” by repealing section 15 (MCL 750.15).

The bill was read a first and second time by title and referred to the Committee on Health Policy.

The Committee on Education reported

Senate Bill No. 63, entitled

A bill to amend 1976 PA 451, entitled  “The revised school code,” by amending section 1212 (MCL 380.1212), as amended by 2016 PA 319.

With the recommendation that the substitute (S-1) be adopted and that the bill then pass.

The committee further recommends that the bill be given immediate effect.
