Senator Veronica Klinefelt of the 11th District offered the following invocation:
Today we come together to work for the betterment of all Michiganders. May we set aside partisan lenses and work as one. May we act in a wise and thoughtful manner. May we show respect for differing opinions and take all viewpoints into consideration. When our time in session comes to an end, may our decisions have positive and lasting effects on the residents of the great state of Michigan. Finally, at the end of our day today, may we all successfully make it on the ark. Amen.
