Kim kartum āgato’smīha kim kurve’ham iheti cha. O Lord! Lead me from illusion to the truth.

Lead me from darkness to light.

Lead me from death to eternal life.

May everyone in the world be happy.

May everyone be healthy.

May all experience what is good.

May there be no suffering.

O Lord! May the skies give us peace. May space bring peace. May the earth give us peace. May the waters give peace. May herbs and plants give us peace. May all of the beings of the earth bring us peace. May the deities bestow peace. May all of creation bring us peace. May peace prevail throughout the universe. May God bestow ultimate peace, bliss and happiness on all

As we begin today’s session, I invoke the credo of my past spiritual leader, His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj: ‘In the joy of others lies our own. In the progress of others rests our own. In the good of others abides our own.’

Our current spiritual leader Mahant Swami Maharaj’s credo is that Harmony is God’s virtue. It brings us all closer to each other and closer to God. He seeks Unity, Friendship, Kindness and Harmony in the world.

With a composed mind, one should introspect every day: ‘What have I come to accomplish in this world and what am I doing?’

O Lord, may all those gathered today be blessed with guidance that reflects in their thoughts and actions.

May God bless the United States of America. Amen.”

Rep. Fitzgerald moved that Reps. Coffia, Grant, Hoskins, McKinney, Neeley and O’Neal be excused from today’s session.
